With Tari Prinster of OM yoga, NYC

WORKSHOP: Yoga as a Tool for Cancer Recovery
Sat., Sept. 18th • 12:30-3:30pm
This workshop is for anyone who is touched by cancer and wants to learn more about how yoga can be used by cancer survivors to heal and to strengthen the body against cancer. Not only will the workshop inform seasoned yoga teachers, but it is appropriate for fitness trainers, medical professionals, massage therapists, and anyone with a friend, colleague or loved-one touched by cancer. “When I first got to OM, I was scared I wouldn’t ‘fit in’. But the instructors and other cancer yogis were all there for the same reason. I wept through most of the classes, while I was going through treatment – but they were tears of joy and relief mingled with tears of fear. I found myself in a room full of love, courage, endurance and recovery. I knew I was safe in that room, even after my surgeries when I could barely move. I was safe.” – student, OM yoga for Cancer Survivors.
